Protect2Ride LLc - Mission Statement.

It is our mission to make sure every ride is as safe as it can be. Let us help you get protected.   

Every rider needs to be protected, we hear almost too often, "I don't do much more than walk" we later find out that the horse whos only walking tripped and/or spooked and they fell off! Safety is not just for the competitive rider.  It is for the weekend warriors, the hack down the lane, a paper chaser,  the stroll through the park.  Your weekly lesson, occasional horse show, that early morning school when no one else is around.  The riders who are a catch rider, a working student, a lesson child who are all not competitive riders but should be protected!

Although we are no longer a center, we are happy to guide you to another center or pony club.  Pony Club is the largest equestrian educational organization in the world.  This is where it all begins! The cornerstones of our foundation are education, safety, sportsmanship, stewardship and FUN. Members learn riding and the care of horses through mounted sports. The skills, habits and values instilled through horsemanship will apply to every part of a member’s life.

Participating members have access to the Pony Club online community, sponsor discounts, educational standards and achievements, a Pony Club Pin, and the chance to participate in activities such as lessons and certifications, rallies and competitions, Championships and Pony Club Festival. A host of additional programs such as international exchanges, USEF Pony Finals, Dressage for Kids, National Youth Board, National Youth Congress, scholarships, and the Visiting Instructors Program are available to members who develop and progress through Pony Club. Many of our graduates feel that Pony Club helped shape their character and the choices they have made as adults.

Pony Club is pleased to partner with additional educational providers, dedicated to promoting quality instructional resources and education for our membership. Our partners know how important equine knowledge and awareness is for the future of all horses and horse care providers.

From an outside perspective, horseback riding looks relatively easy. After all, the horse does all the work, right? In reality, the sport of horseback riding is physically challenging, and as an added benefit riding provides mental and emotional health benefits.

Physical Benefits of Horseback Riding

Riding engages many of the major muscle groups in the body, including arms, legs, back and abdomen. This can help improve:

● Posture

● Balance

Mental Benefits of Horseback Riding

Grooming, handling, and caring for a horse gives riders a healthy outlet for their stress and anxiety. This can result in:

● Stress relief

● Reduced anxiety

● Increased self-confidence

Time To Ride Lesson Barns

While riding is a great outlet for people of any age, not all riding facilities are created equal. The American Horse Council is a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization whose mission includes promoting the benefits of horse-related activities to the public. Time To Ride® is an American Horse Council program designed specifically to introduce non-riders and returning riders to horseback riding and horse care at approved facilities. 

Riding stables are invited to apply to be Time To Ride facilities. To qualify they must meet a stringent set of requirements intended to ensure the quality and safety of the farm, and the appropriate professional training and status of the instructors.

BSR Stables and Julie Fitzpatrick have met or exceeded all requirements and BSR Stables has been approved as a Time To Ride lesson facility. 

Here at BSR we like to dabble in a little bit of everything horsey, including fox Hunting. We are very privileged that River Hills fox hounds always welcomes new members. To find out more please contact  Jimmy Paxon

Looking to come in out of the cold this winter? Nice selection of jumps and use of wash stall. $30per horse per hour.  Monthly ring subscriptions will be available. Wanting to host a clinic and don't have a venue to hold it at, consider BSR. A wonderful observation deck and plenty of parking.  Call for pricing!
